Pumpstation

This building is supposed to be a pumpstation. I used polystyrene as the base and as the centre of the building. After cutting an appropriate piece of polystyrene, I coved it in cardboard. Then I glued lentels in the corners of the cardboard pieces, placed the house on the thick base, glued a bit of copper plumbing pipe to one end and some bendable straws to the other end. Then I placed some condensators as drums between the straws. I cut out the doorframe and glued it on. The doorhandle is a "popper" aka a press-stud. The ladder was made from pieces of plastic rod from cotton swaps. Then I painted the base with filler and a layer of PVA (white, Elmer's) glue to protect it from my black spraypaint. After spraypainting, I painted the base a dark grey color to represent concrete and drybrushed the building and the pipes with silver. I am still improving on the piece - it needs more color and more details.
