Very
tall temple
by
Omen
Omen is
a man of few words ;-) When asked how he created the pyramid, he simply answered:
Use foamcore
Cut into same shapes.. simply glue together... Well, luckily, he came up with
a longer version as well, which I have added below the pictures. Now - enjoy!
 |
The
front of the pyramid. Judging from the comparative size of the miniatures,
the pyramid is about 70 cm tall. |
 |
In
this picture it is possible to glimpse the coloring of the pyramid - it
is sandycolored to look like something from the desert. |
 |
A
close-up of the pyramid. Note the entrance. |
The
long version:
- I cut 4 tall
triangles from foamcore.
- From the top
of the triangle I cut 3 inches down.. to make it flat at the top
- I began gluing
the pieces together, so that each side equally supported the other. (hard
to explain wihtout picture )
- I cut a square
for the top of the temple and glued it in place.
- I used spackle
to fill in several cracks along the edges.
- I roughly judged
the angle of the side of the temple, and began making my doorway.
- The door way
I just cut two slanted walls and a base that glued to the side evenly, you
may have to do some trimming of the pieces to get the right angle with the
wall.
- Once all that
was done I used an expensive speckled paint Never going to do that again.
Rough mixture of sand and paint will do nicely next time =)
